It's been a while since I have felt the need to write up a blog. Not sure why. Probably because life is just plain busy. And I haven't felt that tinge of creative energy in a while. Well, fall is quickly approaching. I am sure you have noticed from the posts I have written in the past, I kinda adore this season.
Pumpkin Season is here, ya'll.
And I am celebrating with this post. And a Pumpkin Spice Frapp.
Ya see, it's still a tad warm for that #PSL. I am still digging my cooler, much frostier smoothies. For now, anyway. Tomorrow may be a different story.
For some reason I got that itch. That pumpkin spice itch about 2 O' clock today. I didn't have any frozen coffee or almond milk. So I made due with what I had on hand. And this is what that was:
Pumpkin Spice Complete Frapp
1 Cup Ice
7 TBS chilled coffee (Yes, 7. I added as I tasted.)
1/2 Cup Almond Milk
3 Heaping TBS Pumpkin Puree
1/2 Frozen Banana ( I told you, it's what I had on hand! ;)))
1 TBS Organic Maple Syrup
1 1/2 TSP Pumpkin Pie Spice
1/2 A Scoop of Vanilla JP+ Complete Protein
Combine ingredients in your blender. Zap to desired consistency! I like mine thick.
I also whipped a little cream and a splash of maple syrup together for a maple-y whipped cream!
The end result was shocking. It was CRAZY good. And pretty clean. Only nature's sweeteners. NO PROCESSED SUGAR! It also helps if you drink out of a mason jar. I don't know why. It's just cuter. So therefore it tastes better.
Ok. That's it. I gotta go pick the babes up from school!
