Butter Lovin'

Let's talk butter.

That of the dairy sort. We are a "real" food family and we eat real butter. Butter churned in a butter churn, butter. REAL organic, you can sit and leave on your counter in a cute little butter dish, butter. Before we started this journey to better health and real food we bought Country Crock. It's what I ate my entire life. My dad would whip out that brown container and lather up a few (or 5) pieces of wonder-like bread with it to have as a side with his dinner. As a newly wed and young adult, I bought light country crock-ish butter. It's what I knew. And you don't stray from whatcha know, ya know? So then one day on this crazy journey to better my health I started reading about butter. The good. The bad. The delicious. I always thought butter was bad. It's a fat. Fats are bad, right? Well, let me just say...Not ALL fats are created equal. And butter, eaten in moderation, isn't going to cause an issue in your diet. If you're like me, you're not gonna trust some crazy butter-loving lady from Texas. Go and do your own research. Knowledge is power! Here are a couple places to start...

#7 is my FAV!

This guys makes some great points...not only about butter, but about real food too.

And yes, you read correctly, real butter can sit on your counter in a cute butter dish. No need to refrigerate. FYI: Room temp buttah is simply divine.
